Thinking Souls…

Arizona

Josh and Divine Austin have been married since 2000.  They have four children: Aaliyah (17); Alyssa (15); Alayna (13); Josiah (11).  They started the Salt River church out of their home in 2013.  The congregation has now grown to have a great mix of various tribes and ethnic groups.  Several ministries are directed toward the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, including a prison and rehabilitation facility.  Two of the first converts, Evan and Crystal Todachine, have gone on to attend Bear Valley Bible Institute and are now partnering with Josh and Divine.

Josh and Divine graduated from Bear Valley Bible Institute in 2002 and then moved to the Navajo reservation, which is where Josh grew up.  They helped to restore the church in Kayenta that Josh’s parents started in 1973.  After nine years, the family moved back to Denver to work with Bear Valley’s extension school program.  Josh worked as a coordinator and teacher for the school in Cameroon, Africa for two years.

South Dakota

Nate and Katy Miller graduated from the Bear Valley Bible Institute in December 2019. Since that time, they have worked with the Wisconsin Avenue church of Christ in Huron, South Dakota. Since graduation, their family has grown with the addition of twin boys (Sam and Andy). The church in Huron has been greatly blessed by the work of this family.
